Mission Mars has appointed James Newman as sales & marketing director.

Newman is the founder of Brain Fuud, a consultancy and virtual marketing team for Northern F&B businesses.

He is also virtual marketing director for Manchester-based bowling concept King Pins as well as founder of Well Oiled Pizza, a Detroit-style pizza concept operating from cloud kitchens in Leeds.

He has previously worked as virtual marketing director for Gusto Italian, Valporetto Pizza, and Evuna Restaurants.

Earlier this year, Mission Mars announced plans to debut Albert’s Schloss in London, as it continues to grow Rudy’s Pizza Napoletana.

Commenting on LinkedIn, Newman said: “For anyone that works in hospitality Mission Mars is a group to be truly revered, both from a brand ownership POV (Rudy’s Pizza Napoletana & Albert’s Schloss) but also the way they go about business, in particular their culture & team.

“Having spent three incredibly rewarding, hard, stressful, empowering, self-discovering years growing my consultancy Brain Fuud the stars have aligned on this one, and the opportunity to join MM as Sales & Marketing Director was just too damn good!

“Brain Fuud has not only allowed me to develop as a better marketer, and to help businesses think more strategically about their own marketing, but oddly it has allowed me to grow and develop as a better Dad and husband. For this I shall be ever thankful for this business I started in what some would say was the hardest of times to launch a new business - 2020!”
