McDonald’s has appointed Gareth Pearson as chief operations officer for the UK & Ireland.

He moves from his current position of chief people officer, and will be responsible for the restaurant and franchised operations.

Pearson’s predecessor Jason Clark will be moving to the US having been appointed field vice president – Atlanta Field Office.

James Thorne has been appointed to the role of VP People and will join the McDonald’s UK & Ireland executive team.
