Knoops CEO Tori Nunn has stepped down after nearly four years at the specialty hot chocolate business.

During her tenure the brand has grown from a single shop in Sussex to 12 sites.

The business appointed Richard Zivkovic, formerly of Island Poke and Abokado, as chief operating officer in May 2023.

It was founded by Jens Knoop with a view to serving premium, single origin hot chocolate, in a similar way to the third wave of speciality coffee.

The brand wants to become “synonymous” with hot chocolate, and has ambitions to reach 120-150 sites in the UK.

Nunn said: “It’s been incredible to be part of such a growing company, building out a new sector and I’m very proud of what we’ve achieved to this point; from a little shop in Rye, to 12 shops with over 200 staff, and being stocked in Selfridges, Harrods and more.

“Thank you to William Gordon-Harris and Jens Knoop for the opportunity to lead such an innovative idea, and the team, who are fantastic; I’ve loved working and growing alongside you.”

She is starting a new position at the end of the summer.
