The Ivy Collection, the Richard Caring-backed group, which operates the Ivy Market Grill, Brasserie and Café concepts, has appointed Charley Springall as its new head of marketing.

Springall joins the group, which now operates seven sites, after spending over two years as head of marketing at CAU. She has also had stints as an events manager and events executive at Gaucho, Prescott & Conran and D&D London.

The Ivy Collection has targeted up to 10 new openings in its current financial year to the end of July 2017, with sites already planned for Soho, Richmond, Cobham and Tower Bridge.

The group recently further strengthened its pipeline in central London after securing the Vintage Salt site near Liverpool Street from Des McDonald, the former chief executive of Caprice Holdings.

The group, which has already secured sites in Guildford and Bath for openings this year, has secured the two-storey site in Dashwood House, Old Broad Street for an opening under either its brasserie/grill or café formats this spring.

Before Christmas, the Ivy Collection dropped a hint at where it hopes to expand to over the coming 12-18 months, with a list of target locations appearing on its website.
