Andy Singleton has stepped down as head of real estate at Patisserie Holdings, the parent company of Patisserie Valerie and Philpotts, has stepped down to join Itsu, the Julian Metcalfe-founded, Asian-inspired brand, as its new property director, MCA understands.

Singleton joins the c70-strong Itsu after six and a half years with Patisserie Holdings. Previous to that he was with Western Ridge Consultancy for nearly four years.

MCA understands that he has been replaced at Patisserie Holdings by Martin Welch.

Last month, MCA revealed that Itsu had further strengthened its international operations team as it gears up to make its debut in the US by the middle of this year.

The group hired Lucy McCarthy as its new head of international innovation, with New York set to be the location for the brand’s first foray overseas.

McCarthy joins Itsu after four years at Deloitte, most recently as senior consultant – retail strategy and operations.

Last summer, Itsu revealed to MCA that it believed there was scope to eventually operate 200 sites in the UK and that it was looking at a couple of options to enter both the US and France at the moment.
