Ignite Group,owner of the Bumpkin, Eclipse and Boujis brands, has appointed Jonathan Shonn, formerly of Ping Pong, as its new chief financial officer, M&C understands.

Shonn stepped down as commercial and finance director of delivery fiorm Deliverence earlier this year. He previously spent nearly three years as finance director at Ping Pong.

He replaces Matt Jones, who joined the Matt Hermer-led group, which currently turns over between £15m to £18m a year, from Leon.

Jones, who was previously chief financial and operating officer of the US-based Barbeques Galore business, before joining Leon, is currently carrying out a consultancy role across the sector.

Ignite currently comprises Boujis in London and Hong Kong; three Bumpkin seasonal British restaurants in London and the Kitchen Bar and Grill spin off at Westfield Stratford; plus three Eclipse bars (two in London, one under licence with Starwood Hotels at its W Hotel in Barcelona), and Wyld nightclub, the W Lounge Bar and Screening Room, all at Starwood’s W Hotel in London’s Leicester Square.
