Trevor Haynes, who led Subway in the UK & Ireland, has become interim chief executive of the global company, following the decision by Suzanne Greco to step down.
Greco will officially retire on 30 June, after three years in the role, and more than 40 with the company.
Haynes acted as senior area development manager for the UK and Ireland from 2009 to 2014 before taking on the role of global director of operations.
He said: “Subway has been part of my life since I was seven years old. I love the brand and the company, and I always will, but it’s time for me to have more balance in my life.
“I feel very good about the strategic moves we’ve made in the last three years, and I have confidencein the future of the company.”
