Greene King group M&A director Matthew Ward is adding a new role of finance director for partnerships & ventures to his responsibilities.

Ward has been with Greene King for just over a year, and joined from Hawthorn where he was CFO, leaving after the pub company was acquired by Admiral Taverns.

His appointment is part of a realignment of the group’s divisional structure, which has seen Wayne Shurvinton become managing director of partnerships & ventures.

Meanwhile Dan Robinson has been appointed managing director of Greene King Pub Partners.

Ward said: “Greene King is a true leader in British hospitality, with a great culture, clear vision and winning strategy, and I look forward to joining a talented leadership team and making a positive difference.”
