Greene King has appointed former InterContinental UK & Ireland director of operations, Paul Harnedy, to oversee its hotels portfolio, MCA understands.
Harnedy, who was most recently director of operations at Redefine BDL Hotels, will take up the role of Greene King’s operations director for hotels.
He will take on the responsibilities of Peter Hebblethwaite, who in his role as business unit director for the past 11 years has been in charge of Old English Inns, Eating Inn and Farmhouse Inns.
Hebblethwaite will now head up operations for Flaming Grill.
Last Greene King set out its intention to grow the Flaming Grill brand from 142 as December 2015 to 180-220 sites.
