David Hall, the man behind Innis & Gunn’s Beer Kitchen model, has launched a new restaurant concept.

Hall stepped down as managing director of Innis & Gunn Retail in May, after just over three years in the role.

He has now launched Vesta on the site of the former Maison Bleue at Home in Queensferry Street, Edinburgh.

The menu is divided into ‘small’, ‘healthy’ and ‘comfort’ plates. The group is working with social enterprise, Social Bite, to distribute food to the homeless.

Hall launched the first Beer Kitchen in July 2015 and grew the estate to four, although the site in St Andrews closed in June.

Earlier this year, Innis & Gunn appointed Steve Drew, formerly of YO! Sushi, as director of operations, with a remit to expand the Beer Kitchen brand in Scotland and the North of England.
