Domino’s UK has appointed former Costa chief growth officer Sarah Barron to head up its newly merged marketing, digital and communication team.

Reporting directly to Domino’s CEO Dominic Paul, in her new role as chief marketing officer Barron will be responsible for supporting the brand’s move towards increased digital investment.

Barron joined Costa in 2016 as CMO before heading up its global marketing and growth team in 2019. Other previous roles include global brand and innovation director and managing director of Green & Blacks at Cadbury, and brand manager at Boots.

She will take over from interim CMO Simon Wallis, who will move to a new role as chief transformation officer on 1 February.

“I see huge opportunity to further increase brand love among customers for Domino’s by building on the great work already achieved by the team,” Barron said. “I’ve always been an admirer of the brand and am really looking forward to helping push it forward to achieve even greater heights.”
