Noel Darcy, the Mitchells & Butlers (M&B) veteran and ex- managing director of the Big Easy, has joined Farmer J, the health-focused, fast casual concept, to aid the operational side of the business.

Darcy was with M&B for more than 20 years, before stints at the Big Easy, Drake & Morgan and TLC Inns.

Farmer J, which is the brainchild of ex-commercial real estate analyst at Deutsche Bank Jonathan Recanati, recently doubled its presence in central London, with an opening near Monument tube station, at 24-32 King William Street.

Farmer J launched in the City in the spring of 2016, after securing the former Benito’s Hat at Leadenhall Street.

It is understood to have lined further sites in Canary Wharf and a central London train station for openings next year.
