Costa Coffee has appointed Nick Orrin as managing director for the UK & Ireland following a period in the role on an interim basis.

Orrin was held several roles at Costa over a number of years, including central operations director, operations director for Costa Express.

He has spent most of his career with Whitbread, joining as a trainee, as well as a stint at Compass.

He took on the role of interim managing director following the departure of Neil Lake in February 2023.

Orrin said: “I am privileged to be leading a great brand supported by a great team, and I am excited about our future.”

Costa Coffee’s sales performance in the UK helped drive 10% revenue growth for Coca-Cola’s Global Ventures division in Q2 2023.

Coco-Cola acquired Costa Coffee for £3.9bn ($5.4bn) in 2018.
