Comptoir Group has announced that Mark Carrick is to step down from his role as chief financial officer.

Carrick will remain at the company in his current role until the end of October in order to ensure an effective handover of his responsibilities.

The board said it had begun the process of identifying a successor and an announcement on his replacement would be made in due course.

Earlier this month, the operator of Lebanese and Eastern Mediterranean restaurants said it was pleased to report that trading for the 26 weeks to 30 June had been in line with management’s expectations and ahead of the same period in 2018.

It said the board continued to take a cautious approach to selecting new site openings and was exploring multiple opportunities for both organic growth and further franchise opportunities.

Comptoir Group currently operates 25 managed restaurants and four franchise sites. It has openings lined up at Leicester’s High Cross shopping centre and Ashford Designer Outlet in Kent.
