Casual Dining Group (CDG) has appointed brand directors at Bella Italia, Las Iguanas and Café Rouge as it restructures its senior team formation.

Lisa Gibbons has been promoted to brand director of Bella Italia, Julie McEwan has been promoted to the same role at Las Iguanas, and Greg Gibbon at Café Rouge.

Following the appointment of James Spragg as chief executive in May this year, the business has removed the previous MD role for its branded businesses in favour of a flatter structure. Each brand director will report directly to Spragg.

Sarah Pope has also joined as chief information offer from GLH Hotels. Mark Nelson remains managing director of the Franchise & Concessions business which recently launched its third Ale & Coffee House concept – The Shipyard at Elizabeth Terminal, Jersey Port.

Earlier this month it was confirmed that Mos Shamel was to step down as managing director of Las Iguanas after 16 years at the helm.

CDG said it delivered like-for-like sales growth of 3% across the group in the first six months of 2019 to 30 June.

James Spragg will be appearing on the Hot Topics panel at the MCA Restaurant Conference on 18 September. For more information about the agenda or to book tickets to the conference, please visit www.therestaurantconference.co.uk.
