MCA revealed earlier this week, that Burger King UK, which is now the UK master franchisee for the c540-strong chain, had made three appointments to its management team, including a chief financial officer and chief operating officer.

As previously flagged up MCA, Tim Doubleday, formerly of Casual Dining Group, has become the company’s chief financial officer.

At the same time, Richard Dening-Smitherman, formerly chief executive of Nando’s in the UAE, has been appointed the group’s chief operating officer.

Finally, Marc Balding, former property director at Byron and Five Guys, has joined the company as its new development director.
