Boston Tea Party (BTP), the Bristol-based café and restaurant brand, has appointed Paul Hooker, formerly of Whitbread, as its new operations director.

Hooker joins BTP, which will make its debut on the south coast, with an opening in Chichester later this month, after nine years with Whitbread, with the last four years as operations director for its Beefeater brand.

He replaces Duncan Zvonek-Little, who stepped down from his role as operations director at the 21-strong BTP at the start of this year after 18 months with the company.

The Sam Roberts-led group, which recently strengthened its presence in the Midlands with an opening in Solihull, will open on the ground floor of the Corn Exchange in Baffins Lane in Chichester.

Managing director Roberts told MCA last year that the company will look to add four to five sites a year and had funding in place to aid its expansion for the next couple of years.
