National law firm Bond Dickinson has become a member of Business in Sport and Leisure (BISL), the strategic body representing the private sector in the sports and leisure industry.

As part of its membership the company will be working in four working groups looking at key areas for the sector; employment, gambling, liquor licensing and property.

This will entail identifying key issues, lobbying Government Ministers, Departments and public agencies and responding to consultations on behalf of the industry.

Bond Dickinson licensing partner, Ewen Macgregor, who heads its Hospitality and Leisure Team, said: “I am delighted that we have become a member and I look forward to working with BISL. It plays a very important role for the hospitality and leisure industry and as we are growing our reputation within the sector, it feels a natural fit for us to get involved with BISL and its working groups.

“BISL has a track record of successfully lobbying on key issues and new legislation that affect the industry and we look forward to making a positive contribution to this.”

BISL executive director, Andy Sutch, said: “We are delighted to welcome Bond Dickinson as members and I look forward to working with them.

“Their Hospitality and Leisure team has extensive experience advising clients across the sector and we believe that their expertise will add great value to our working groups.”
