Big Table Group has restructured the business, with CEO Alan Morgan having taken on the additional role of managing director at Las Iguanas.

The move, which is designed to enable the business to put a greater focus on brand performance, has seen Lisa Gibbons appointed as MD of a portfolio of the group’s brands, including Café Rouge, Amalfi, Center Parcs concessions and Big Table Group’s franchised business.

Gibbons was previously chief operating officer at Bella Italia, concessions and its franchise arm.

The group is currently recruiting for a managing director for Bella Italia.

New chief operating officers and HR director roles have also been created within Las Iguanas and Bella Italia, with Matt Stansbury promoted to the COO role at Las Iguanas and Angela Da Silva been promoted to HR director at the brand.

At Bella Italia, Lloyd Bloom becomes chief operating officer, and Hayley Moosa has been appointed as HR director, joining from Prezzo.

Alan Morgan, CEO of Big Table Group, said: “Our priority to date has been to develop best practice in the back-end of the business, and we now have the necessary systems and processes in place across the Group.

“This change allows us to focus on being more brand-centric, and work in a way which better addresses the needs of our restaurants and guests, allowing our teams to dedicate all of their time, energy and resource to a specific brand and take the guest experience at each site to the next level.”

Morgan explained that when he became CEO in 2021, the group identified three main avenues for growth: improving its core business by doing the basics better, investing in and opening new sites in its existing estate, and adding additional brands to its portfolio through new creation and acquisition.

“Building on the solid foundations that we have put in place over the last 15 months, we’re confident that this restructure will maximise our opportunities for continued growth in all three areas,” he said.
