Jo Bargery has stepped down as managing director of Wildwood, the Tasty-owned restaurant chain, MCA understands.

Bargery, who was formerly a regional director of operations at Zizzi, originally joined Wildwood as operations brand director in September 2007, before being promoted to managing director in March 2016.

As managing director of the now 54-strong Wildwood, she developed a senior management team of eight operations managers and one senior operations manager, a brand development chef and three training chefs.

Tasty, which also owns the six-strong Dim T concept, is led by chief executive Jonny Plant.

Last month, the company said it had “no plans to open any new sites at the current time” and cancelled its unused £5m revolving credit facility earmarked for expansion.

The group reported on trading for the 26 weeks to 1 July, in which revenue was down 5.7% to £23m year-on-year.

The company said major operational structural changes implemented in February were beginning to drive early signs of improvements. It said it was continually assessing its estate with a view to utilising the proceeds of property disposals to reduce gearing.
