Former Carluccio’s and Gaucho chief financial officer Frank Bandura has joined Gusto Italian as interim CFO.

He replaces finance director Gemma Peel.

Bandura spent 17 years at Carluccio’s before joining Gaucho as group CFO in 2017, where he helped steer the brand through an administration and sale process.

He also spent a short spell as interim CFO of All Star Lanes, and most recently ran his own advisory firm Walpole.

Gusto, which is led by MD Matt Snell, was originally part of Living Ventures, and was part of a management buy-out in 2014, backed by Palatine Private Equity.

Snell said: “To have secured Frank’s services is a major coup for us. His experience in navigating hospitality businesses through difficult periods is unrivalled and I can’t think of many more difficult periods than the one we are in.”
