Bacardi has announced the appointment of Michael Dolan, who was most recently chairman and chief executive of sports, fashion and media firm IMG Worldwide, as its interim chief executive.
Dolan, a member of Bacardi’s board since 2009, has also served as executive vice president and chief financial officer of Viacom, and prior to that was chairman and chief executive of Young & Rubicam, the global marketing services company.
“We are fortunate to have Mike take on CEO duties as he has an exceptional global business track record, understands powerful brands and knows our company very well as a result of his service on our board,” said Bacardi chairman Facundo Bacardi.
He will be based at Bacardi’s headquarters in Hamilton, Bermuda.
