Scottish restaurant closures are on the up

Just under 9,000 licensed premises have permanently closed in Britain since the start of the pandemic, with another 7,400 teetering on the brink of survival. With everything that the last 18 months has thrown at hospitality, it’s not entirely clear whether that’s a good or bad result.
