Corporate Catering Company has gone into administration amid rumours of money owed to the Inland Revenue and Customs & Excise.
The London-based company’s 17 pubs are now being run by its receivers, Baker Tilly.
Tracey Callaghan, a partner at Baker Tilly, said: "All the pubs will continue to trade until buyers are found.
"We haven’t sold anything yet but we have spoken to interested parties. It’s our job to get the best deal for the creditors but if we can salvage the company we would love to do so."
