Durham Atkinson, former general manager of Rushmore Group’s Milk & Honey members club in London’s Soho, is looking to secure more craft beer bars under his new venture YoYo Hospitality, M&C Report has learnt. The first site under the venture, Hops & Glory in Islington, north London, has now opened. Atkinson told M&C Report: “We do have ambitions to expand, we’ve always got our ear to the ground.” However, Atkinson said he didn’t expect to add more sites this year. Bar manager at the pub is Joe Gooding, who previously worked at London Village Inns’ well-known craft beer bars The Jolly Butchers in Stoke Newington and the Crown and Anchor in Brixton. Hops & Glory, which was previously called the George Orwell, features three ales on rotation, “real” cider, 13 keg taps plus 60 bottled beers. Its snack menu features toasted sandwiches, cheese and meat boards, and pork pies.
