Colin Wellstead is to step down from his role as chairman of property adviser AG&G after 6 years with the company.

The former head of pubs and restaurants at Christie & Co, who also worked at Bass and Whitbread, joined AG&G in 2008

The company said: “Colin is one the most respected and experienced people in leisure property and his knowledge, experience and advice has proven invaluable to AG&G in helping them to become one of the most successful firms of chartered surveyors to specialise in pubs and restaurants.

The Board of AG&G would like to thank Colin for his considerable contribution to the business and wish him the very best for the future.  The role of chairman is unlikely to be replaced in the foreseeable future.  The feeling among the directors is that they have grown a few grey hairs of their own and are becoming veterans in their own right.”

AG&G was set up in 2000 by chartered surveyors Anthony Alder, James Grimes and David Gooderham.
