Wedge Issue, the West Coast style pizza and craft beer concept, is launching a second site in Shoreditch in July.

The new venture on the corner of Bethnal Green Road and Brick Lane will be predominantly for takeaway, with 12 covers inside, and will offer pizza by the slice for the first time.

Wedge Issue, which is inspired by Pacific West Coast pizzerias between Vancouver, Seattle, and Portland, is known for its authentic thin-crust pizzas, with the dough proven for three days, as well as vegetarian, vegan options, and chocolate pizza.

The first Wedge Issue Pizza + Beer launched by husband and wife team Darren Atwater and Martha Gall in February 2016 in a former Italian restaurant in the ‘little Italy’ part of Clerkenwell.

Atwater told MCA they could open a third site in an area underserved by pizza and craft beer.
