High-profile chef Marcus Wareing is to open his third London restaurant, a new mid-price “West End eatery” called Tredwell’s in Shaftesbury’s Seven Dials, which he says will mark a significant new departure for his business and the beginning of “an exciting stage of growth”.

Tredwell’s, which will be operated under the chef’s Marcus Wareing Restaurants vehicle and led by group operations director Chantelle Nicholson, will be arranged over three floors and 5,500sq ft at 4 Upper St Martin’s Lane, opposite Jamie’s Italian and Dishoom.

Wareing said: “With Seven Dials’ reputation as London’s number one destination for new concepts, international brands and creative cuisine I wanted to be part of it. Tredwell’s marks a significant new departure for my business as it is the beginning of an exciting stage of growth and it also sees me move further into the role of a restaurateur. Tredwell’s will not be about me and my food as you will not see me in the kitchen as I remain committed to my restaurant Marcus at The Berkeley Hotel. It is a project from Marcus Wareing Restaurants and the skilled and experienced team that we have created which will be led by group operations director Chantelle Nicholson.”
