Wagamama, the pan-Asian casual dining chain, has secured its second site in Edinburgh at the city’s Ocean Terminal shopping centre.

The 94-strong group has agreed a 20-year lease on a 3,000sq ft at the complex, agreeing n annual rent of c£20 a sq ft. The new restaurant will open later this year.

It joins operators including Handmade Burger Co, Zizzi and Nando’s at the shopping centre.

Sharon Cawthorne, director of property at Wagamama, said: “We are very excited to open our most recent wagamama restaurant in Edinburgh at the busy and popular Ocean Terminal.

“We hope that it will ease the pressure of finding that moment of calm when shopping, and be the perfect destination to catch-up with friends, family and colleagues whilst sampling some delicious Japanese-inspired dishes.”
