Wagamama, the fast-casual noodle chain backed by Duke Street Capital, has ended the trial of a sushi menu in selected sites across its 94-strong UK estate. The company made its first move into the sushi market, with the launch of a trial menu and takeaway service at its site in London’s Mansion House last April.

It then started to roll out the menu to new openings and further selected London units. The original sushi menu featured single dishes and sharing platters with prices ranging from £2.15 to £8.95.

However, it is thought the trial was end in the lead up to the launch of its new spring and summer which went live on Tuesday of this week.

The new menu, which has an emphasis on freshness and spice, includes new additions such as summer salads like a miso salad, vegetarian bean and glass noodle salad and a spicy tom yum soup.

It also has new sharing side dishes such a beef lettuce wrap and Vietnamese-style summer rolls.
