Lifestyle Hospitality Group (LHG) has signed a master franchise agreement with a multiple franchisee to rollout its Tiger Bills neighbourhood dining concept across Greater London, managing director James Eyre has told M&C Report.

The company is targeting 20 openings within Greater London over the next nine years, Eyre said.

The first is expected to begin trading in the next three or four months; heads of terms have been agreed for three units in Putney, Hammersmith and Chiswick.

The identity of the master franchisee has not been disclosed but Eyre said it’s a “high net worth, well-funded multiple franchisee” who also operates retail businesses. The master franchisee will be able to sub-franchise to individual operators.

Eyre said the M25 corridor would be targeted, and he mentioned Richmond, Hampstead and Ealing, “plus into Croydon, Surrey and Kent”.

In addition, Eyre told M&C Report that planning permission has now been secured for a Tiger Bills in Worcester, which is expected to open in mid to late March. Another in northern England is expected to begin trading in the next four months.

“The programme is going to plan,” said Eyre.

Eyre told M&C Report last year that the company hopes to grow to 30 franchise sites for Tiger Bills over three years.

Tiger Bills currently operates in Birmingham, Exeter, Torquay, Whitley Bay and Consett. The website for the brand is www.tigerbillsfranchise.co.uk.
