TGI Friday’s, the Karen Forrester-led chain, is to make a step-change in its food offer, with the launch a new menu which will comprise of brand-firsts including delicious Creole seafood such as mussels and shell-on shrimp.

In addition, the new menu, which will be launched later this spring will feature premium fillet steak alongside marinated and spice-rubbed rib-eye.

The company said that the developments “mark a continued focus on quality, flavour and freshness for the brand”.

The new menu launch comes after the company’s head chef and food development manager, Terry McDowell – won the Casual Dining category at the 2014 MIDAS Awards.

The group was shortlisted against Coast to Coast and Gourmet Burger Kitchen. Its current menu has a diverse offering tailored towards different occasions, including tapas.

McDowell, who has been nominated for the award previously, said: “We are incredibly excited about our upcoming menu – it is going to be a complete game-changer for Friday’s and marks a real revolution. It’s the next step in our strategy to offer experience-led meals which cater to diners for all occasions. Whether guests are looking for a rich and indulgent celebration meal or a quick bite to eat over cocktails with friends, we have an option for everyone.
