Tamarind Collection is to relaunch its Indian restaurant Imli in London’s Soho as more of a street food format in April.

The group, which is led by Rajesh Suri, has closed the Wradour Street site for a five-week refurbishment before reopening it as Imli Street.

Last month, the company acquired Zaika, the first Indian restaurant to win a Michelin star, from Claudio Pulze.

It also operates Tamarind, the award-winning Indian restaurant, in the heart of Mayfair, plus a sister site called Tamarind of London, in the US in Newport Beach.

Zaika was part of Pulze’s Cuisine Collection that still includes Al Duca and Osteria dell’angolo.
