Stonegate has continued its investment programme by spending £160,000 refurbishing the Wellington in Wolviston, County Durham.
Changes include new, lighter decor and a new food menu that features freshly prepared dishes and a new Sunday roast menu.
There will be six hand pumps on the bar and cocktails have been introduced.
General manager Andy Wain said: “The changes to the pub are staggering. Modernised and stylish, the Wellington will be freshly redecorated inside and out to make it lighter and brighter, with new furniture, flooring, artwork and soft furnishings throughout too; but it will still retain all the characterful period features that make the Wellington special.”
The pub reopens on Friday (7 March).
Stonegate typically undertakes 90 to 100 investments a year across its 625-strong estate.
