Square Pie, the chain of gourmet pie shops led by Martin Dewey, is to start a round of fundraising as it looks to add to its London-based estate.

The company will open its fifth site in September at Westfield Stratford and then plans to open a further outlet in the capital before the end of the year.

Dewey told M&C Report that the fundraising for the expansion will be carried out with existing shareholders.

He said: “We are just about to start another round of fundraising and looking ahead to the next stage of the business. We will also be looking at bringing in some more expertise on the operational side of the business as we go forward.”

The company currently operates sites at Canary Wharf, Spitalfields, Westfield London and in Selfridges.

The group also runs concessions at the Excel London and on match days at Twickenham.
