Soho Coffee Co, the West Country-based chain, has opened its first site in a leisure centre after securing a unit within the refurbished Bradley Stoke Leisure Centre in south Gloucestershire.

The 105-cover site, which has been given a £250,000 revamp with the help of the Circadian Trust, will open round the day, and will have an expanded ‘Soho Kids’ range for children.

The launch adds to Soho’s 23-strong portfolio in shopping centres and high streets, as well as travel hubs under a franchise agreement with SSP and ventures with motorway service stations, holiday parks and shops.

It also operates units at Dublin, Malaga and Las Palmas airports.

Last week, the company, which was founded by ex-Compass directors Chris Copner and Penny Manuel in 2007, opened second unit at Butlin’s Minehead within its new restaurant, The Deck.

Soho Coffee Co director Manuel said: “Our food-led coffee proposition is the right fit for this market; we’re not ‘mass-market’ and our brand has the high-street credibility and quality to build a broad customer-base for Circadian Trust.”
