Speculation is mounting about a potential acquisition of Guernsey's Randall's pub by Channel Island entrepreneur Tom Scott, reports The Guernsey Press and Star. Scott, who is chairman of CI Traders, has not denied his interest, but told the newspaper: “It's up for sale and I'm sure everybody and his dog is looking at the moment”. Randall's sale is likely to be completed in March, the paper said, with marketing director Ben Randall unable to state “yes or no” as to whether the company had spoken to Scott. Randall's runs 18 pubs on the island, and has angered its publicans as many only learned of its potential sale through the press.
