Rising Star Leisure, the London-based bar operator, has acquired its fourth site located in Clapham. The group has purchased the lease of the former Dos Amigos Mexican restaurant on Battersea Rise for a premium of £235,000 and an annual rent of £105,000. It plans to refurbish the site before reopening it as a champagne bar and a 74-cover restaurant called Broome & Delancey in September. The company, which is owned by Steve Kelly, said that it was in negotiations to launch two further sites, including a cocktail bar in central London. The group currently operates three other local bars, including Iniquity in Battersea, the People’s Republic in Clapham and the Establishment in Parsons Green. Cedar Dean acted for Dos Amigos and Davis Coffer Lyons handled the purchase.
