The craft beer bar venture formed by Warwickshire-based Purity Brewing Company has secured its first site, M&C Report has learnt.

Pure Craft Bars Limited has taken a private, long-term lease on a 4,600 sq ft premises in central Birmingham.

Purity managing director Paul Halsey told M&C Report: “We’ve agreed terms with the landlord on a site in Birmingham city centre. We are now going through the licence and planning application stage. If that all goes to plan we hope to open in mid to late October.”

The pub will focus on craft and cask beer, bottled beers and good food.

He said the company is targeting three to four more openings in the next four to five years in the M6/M5 corridor. Just under £500,000 has been raised to date via an Enterprise Investment Scheme to fund acquisitions under Pure Craft Bars Limited.
