Concerned Twyford residents have gathered in protest outside closed pub, The Bugle Inn, amidst fears that it will not be reopened. The Bugle, which regulars call a vital part of the community, was boarded up at the end of July. It is the second Twyford pub to close, after The Dolphin Inn was converted into housing several years ago. The pub is newly-owned by the Inntown Pub and Property Company, which last year bought The Prince of Wales pub in Winchester. It has been sealed up ever since and is the subject of a planning application to convert it into flats.
