Premier Inn, the Whitbread-owned budget hotel chain, has appointed FastBooking to create its first foreign language websites. The sites, aimed at travellers from outside the UK, will market all of Premier Inn’s 42,000 rooms. The company has 5,600 hotel clients worldwide and topped 3m room nights booked in 2009. The Premier Inn international website, premierinn.eu, is a portal offering destination, theme and price-based selections, with availability updated in real-time for all hotels on their own and the international website. The Premier Inn portal is also available in French (premierinn.fr) and Spanish (premierinn.es), with Italian and German language sites expected to be online at the end of October. More languages will be added based on guest demand. Richard Kefs , FastBooking’s chief executive, said: “Premier Inn is perhaps the best known UK hotel brand. One of our challenges is to increase the visibility of the brand outside their domestic market.”
