Ask has appointed Andrew Fleet, a business consultant, as a new non-executive director.

George Cracknell, chairman, said the company had performed in line with expectations in the last year.

• Ask is opening a new Zizzi restaurant in Bow Street, in central London, at a rent of £165,000 a year.
