Food-focused multiple pub operator Peach Pub Company has secured its 15th site, an Enterprise Inns leasehold in Hertfordshire that features a walk-through deli on the side. The Brookmans in Brookmans Park, held on a lease until 2019 at a passing rent of £105k pa, features extensive seating for 166 inside, plus at least 150 outside, and eight letting rooms. Davis Coffer Lyons handled the deal. The site was previously operated by BBL Holdings, which also runs the nearby Plough in Cotton and the Vine in Ware. A refurbishment is planned and due to be completed before Christmas. Peach’s profits increased by more than one third in 2010, it was revealed last week. Director Hamish Stoddart told M&C Report that the company planned to open three new sites per year. “I’m optimistic we can do it if the pub is the right site at the right cost,” he said. Peach’s last opening, the White Horse in Harpenden, Hertfordshire, is also an Enterprise leasehold. Peach secured the site in March.
