Patisserie Valerie plans to reopen two sites after shuttering the majority of its estate when it fell into administration in 2019.

According to reports, the patisserie brand will open its refurbished Cambridge site next week, followed by its Cribbs Causeway site in Bristol later this year.

Patisserie Valerie operator Flower Power Group recently reported a return to profit in 2022 after heavy losses in 2021.

The Causeway Capital-backed group closed “a number of loss-making sites” during the period, as it undertook a restructure to strengthen its financial position.

It previously traded from around 150 sites before it collapsed in 2019 following the discovery of a multi-million-pound black hole in its accounts under previous parent company Patisserie Holdings.

Since then, it has reduced its store count down to 29, as well as operating concessions in 400 Sainsbury’s stores.

The brand currently operate a number of sites across London, as well as a cluster in the South East including in Winchester, Basingstoke and High Wycombe and further sites in the north including York, Leeds, Chester and Durham.
