Guinness Open Gate Brewery, Covent Garden
The new 54,000 sq ft Guinness brewery opens in Covent Garden on 11 December, housing three restaurants. Gilroy’s Loft is a rooftop concept serving a seafood-focused menu, designed to be paired with Guinness. Meanwhile, The Porter’s Table will offer a sharing menu of British dishes highlighting locally sourced ingredients. Lastly, Old Brewer’s Yard will be an courtyard space serving pies and also hosting events and pop-ups.
Guests can also sample a rotating selection of limited-edition beers and seasonal specials, including non-stout varieties and low-alcohol options.
Deadwax Social, Norwich
Laine Pub Company has opened the third outpost under its Deadwax Social concept on Norwich’s St Georges Street. Described as the ‘audiophile’s pub’, DeadWax offers vinyl, CDJs, and live performances, with a focus on blending music, style, and community.
The Norwich venue serves New York-style slices from World Famous Gordo’s Pizza, plus craft beers from Laine and a cocktail offering.
Urban Greens, Shoreditch
Salad concept Urban Greens has launched its sixth site at 23 Norton Folgate in London. The new site offers 22 indoor seats, with outdoor seating to follow, and serves the brand’s menu of signature salads and trays.
The food is described as chef-driven and health-focused, with options like the Beef Saigon salad, Salmon Avocado salad, and Sinaloa tray.
Khao-Sō-i, Fitzrovia
Khao-Sō-i, the noodle bar from Thailand’s Chiang Mai, will open its first overseas outpost in London’s Fitzrovia on 12 November. The 40-cover site will feature a 30-cover heated terrace and counter dining while specialising in Northern Thai dishes, from family recipes to street food classics.
Khao-Sō-i first opened in Chiang Mai in 2021 and has since grown to four locations in Bangkok. It has recruited Oliver Darrington, formerly of Fallow, to head up UK operations.
Wingstop, Sheffield
Wingstop has opened its first location in Sheffield at the Oasis Dining Quarter in Meadowhall. The new 4,585 sq ft site will host 114 covers, serving wings, tenders, burgers, milkshakes, and a churro selection for dessert.
Wingstop operates 77 sites across the UK, with plans to grow to up to 200 within the next five years.
Taro, Brighton
London-founded Japanese casual dining group Taro has opened its ninth restaurant on Brighton’s Ship Street. Taro is the brand’s first venture outside the capital, offering sushi, sashimi, Japanese curry, grilled dishes, ramen, rice dishes, and noodle options.
Shree Krishna Vada Pav, Holborn
Indian QSR concept Shree Krishna Vada Pav (SKVP) has opened its latest location at the London School of Economics. The store marks SKVP’s third university campus opening and 22nd overall.
The brand serves a menu of Mumbai street food classics, including samosas, chaat, and pav bhaji. It is backed by Haldiram’s, one of India’s largest food brands, valued at £6bn.
The Gropers Arms, Devon
One of the smallest licenced pubs in England has opened its doors at Compton Pool. Set within a 14-acre holiday estate near Paignton, The Gropers Arms is a micropub with a 140cm bar, 10 seats, and a further 20 covers on the terrace.
The venue serves small-batch Devon spirits, local wines, craft ales, and frozen strawberry daiquiri, plus food options including breakfast, pizza, and smashburgers.
The Black Eel, Dalston
Walthamstow-founded Exale Brewery has opened a new pub in East London. The Black Eel has taken over a Grade II listed building with a hidden 150-seat beer garden, plus a main bar, private karaoke room, darts and shuffleboard spaces, lounge zones, and flexible hire rooms.
The 250-cover interior features a contemporary, community-led design, offering seasonal dishes and comforting plates. Highlights include steamed mussels with croutons and pork ribs with pickles and hot honey, plus Exale Brewing’s hazy IPAs and fruited sours. Sunday roasts, craft beer, cocktails, and natural wines are also on the menu.
Urban Leisure Group, Brent Cross Town
Urban Leisure Group, the team behind London venues like Alice House, Coin Laundry, and Heist Bank, will open a 7,400 sq ft site in Brent Cross Town, a new London development. The new venue will open in spring 2026 as the group’s 10th location.
It will serve seasonal dishes, beers on tap, wine, and cocktails, with both indoor and outdoor seating.
Chargal, Mayfair
A new three-storey Turkish concept opens on London’s Berkeley Street this December. The restaurant looks to combine Turkish heritage with Mediterranean flair, offering mezze, open-fire cooking, and a late-night basement space.
SOOM, Covent Garden
A new Korean BBQ concept opens on St Martin’s Lane on 10 November. SOOM is the latest venture from the team behind 3KOBROS, a Korean concept in Canary Wharf. It will include premium stone tables, a bar and centrepiece feature table, a ‘jing’ (circular gong), and a private dining room.
SOOM will offer premium meats and seasonal vegetables, plus other traditional and contemporary Korean dishes including vegetarian, vegan, and halal options. A concise dessert menu and a drinks list featuring soju, Korean-inspired cocktails, and teas will also be offered.
Masakali, Euston
Masakali has opened its first branch in the capital near Regent’s Park, following the success of its flagship restaurant in Reading. The concept offers an innovative take on traditional Indian cuisine, such as ‘soup shots’, sea trout with verbena and dill tikka, and biryani with tiger prawns.
Also on offer are Bollywood-inspired cocktails, wines, and craft beers.
Manna, Dubai
Smashburger concept Manna will launch its first international location on Dubai’s Alserkal next month. The brand debuted at London’s Arcade Food Hall in 2022, serving a menu inspired by American diners and fast food joints.
It still operates at Arcade’s locations on Tottenham Court Road and Battersea Power Station.
