Roxy Leisure has opened a new Roxy Ball Room in York.

The operator of the Roxy Ball Room and Roxy Lanes brands, has revealed its latest site at The Stonebow, in the city centre.

It offers a vast array of gaming spread across two floors, with duck pin bowling, two karaoke rooms, shuffleboard, ping pong, American pool, beer pong, tech darts, batting cage, ice-free curling and Crazy Pool.

 

Proper Pubs, Glasgow

Brockburn Interior

The Brockburn, formerly The Pollok, on Brockburn Road in Glasgow has reopened following a major investment of £340,000.

The pub is part of the Proper Pubs division at Admiral Taverns and has undergone a complete internal and external transformation 

Inside, the pub has been completely redecorated with an updated bar and lounge, whilst outside, the pub has been given new lighting and signage and new bi-fold doors. 

 

CUPP, London

Bubble tea brand, CUPP has opened two new sites, in Twickenham and Kingsbury. 

Founder Lee Peacock, was inspired to create the business after living in Taiwan, and now operates 12 sitse in the capital, with 35 sites overall. 

The company opened 14 new stores in 2023. 

 

Bewiched, Market Harborough

The coffee company Bewiched has opened a new store in Market Harborough. 

Opening next door to Cafe Nero, at 41 The Square, founder Matt Fountain said that the new site has “serious curb appeal”, and is just down the road from the brand’s coffee roastery. 

It marks the 17th site opening for the Midlands based business, which offers freshly roasted, artisan coffee. 

 

JW Lees, Manchester

Family brewer, JW Lees has opened the doors to Founder’s Hall.

The redevelopment is located in Albert Square, Manchester, replacing the former Duttons site, which opened 10 years ago.

According to the business, the service style will be hands-off, akin to a pub rather than a bar, with ordering at the bar. 

The menu features nibbles, bar snacks and small plates, alongside individually hand-crafted pies made on site, as well as some JW Lees pub favourites. 

 

The Fabulous Restaurant Group, Westminster

Shanghai Noir

The group behind Westminster’s fine dining Indian restaurant Yaatra, has revealed a brand-new Indo-Chinese brasserie concept on the lower ground level of the Old Westminster Fire Station. 

Opening in March, Shanghai Noir offers a 78-cover space, described as a sultry, art-deco style eatery that harks back to the heyday of 1920s and 1930s Shanghai.

The menu, curated by Executive Chef Amit Bagyal and Head Chef Velino Goes,  promises a ”daring reinterpretation on the sharp, spicy fusion of flavours.”
