Bar operator Arc Inspirations is set to expand its portfolio with the opening its first ever site in the East Midlands. 

Box bar on Thurland Street in Nottingham city centre will open this November and joins the groups existing 19 bars across the Midlands and North of England, under the Banyan Bar & Kitchen, Manahatta and Box brands. 

The concept offers a sports bar and kitchen in a 16,000 sq ft venue, with capacity for 650 guests spread over two floors, featuring two spacious private party rooms upstairs. 

Joe & The Juice, Liverpool

The health-focused fast-food and juice bar chain has now opened on Liverpool ONE’s Paradise Street, marking its second branch at the destination.

Occupying a 1,800 sq ft unit, it joins over 350 locations worldwide, offering its health-centred menu of fresh juice, shakes, salads and sandwiches. A new Breakfast Menu and seasonal products will soon also be on offer. 

Akara, Borough

The owner of fine dining West African restaurant Akoko in Fitzrovia, Aji Akokomi will be opening Akara in Borough Yards this October.

The 40 cover restaurant will offer a traditional West African offering in a relaxed dining setting.

The menu features a variety of Akaras, a crispy savoury fritter made from black eye beans, with main dishes including a selection of barbecued meat, fish and vegetable plates such as Labu aged beef and Nokoss sea bream.

International fast-casual restaurant eeetwell has opened its first UK venue on Portobello Road, London. The 20 cover site offers a menu of salads, warm bowls, wraps, alongside juices and smoothies. 

The restaurant joins the brand’s existing 19 sites in Malta and additional locations in Italy, France, Brussels and Dubai.

 

 

Miss Millie’s, Bristol

Bristol-based chicken brand Miss Millies is set to open its first new store in Bristol City centre in over 30 years this autumn. T

Located on St Augustine’s parade, its menu will include the signature Miss Millies offering, as well as a new range of burgers, hot loaded wings, tenders, fries and desserts.

The new City centre store will be operated by the same franchisee who currently operates Miss Millies in Staple Hill, and who has been working with the brand for over 15 years.

Solis, Battersea

The duo behind TĀ TĀ Eatery, Ana Gonçalves and Zijun Meng, will be opening new restaurant Solis this October.

The 80-cover restaurant is located in Arcade Battersea, offering a chicken and steak grill, with flavour influences from Spain, Portugal, Uruguay and Argentina.

Served off the grill, options of Flat-iron Steak with Solis’ version of entrecôte sauce or Half Chicken served with Solis’ house Aji-Aji Sauce.

Burger & Sauce, Birminham

Burger & Sauce has confirmed six new restaurants are to open this year, including a new location in Perry Barr, Birmingham. 

The fresh burger chain  launched as a franchise last year, and will now also open in Shirley, Liverpool, Manchester, Bristol and Telford.

Mildreds, London

Mildreds will open two new sites in the capital with openings in Victoria and Wimbledon set for early 2024.

The Wimbledon site is located in the newly redeveloped Wimbledon Quarter and will have 100+ covers alongside an outdoor terrace facing onto Queens Road.

Mildreds’ new plant-based bakery concept MiMA will also make its debut at the Wimbledon site serving freshly baked vegan pastries, open sandwiches, salads, and desserts alongside a drinks menu.

Its Victoria restaurant will have 120 covers alongside an extensive outdoor terrace, located on Wilton Road.
