Social entertainment concept Lucky Voice has invested £1.2m in developing a Liverpool Street site, which forms part of a major growth and investment programme to double the brand’s estate over the next two years.

The new venue, due to open on 29 January, is a 4,800 sq ft unit near Liverpool Street station. It features nine karaoke booths, a large bar, an animated video wall, a supersized disco wrecking ball, and a VIP karaoke pod.

Spanish restaurant group Tapas Brindisa is launching a new Basque restaurant and bar next month, on Beak Street in London’s Carnaby on 12 December. The croqueta will be the bar’s hero dish, with a frequently changing selection.

The venue will also serve a tight selection of daily changing small plates, with a drinks offer including Spanish wines, sherry, vermouth, cider, and cocktails.

 

Sheesh, Mayfair

Restaurateur Dylan Hunt’s Mediterranean- and Turkish-inspired concept Sheesh has announced plans to open its first London outpost on Mayfair’s Dover Street. It is expected to be an extension of the celebrity-endorsed flagship restaurant in Chigwell, Essex.

The restaurant also has a private membership scheme.

 

Tozi, Battersea Power Station

Venetian-inspired restaurant and bar brand Tozi will open on 12 December at London’s Battersea Power Station. The all-day menu will offer classic Italian dishes.

 

Nakanojo, Marylebone

Nikkei restaurant Nakanojo will open its second London site early next year, on Marylebone’s Thayer Street, the first of further restaurants planned next year. The 2,000 sq ft site will cater for up to 100 covers across two floors, offering a selection of Nikkei-inspired dishes, a sharing plates menu, and cocktails.

 

 

Sides, Wandsworth

YouTubers The Sidemen will open their second UK Sides site at Gravity Southside in Wandsworth on 7 December, amid plans to launch several sites over the next 12 months. The restaurant will serve a range of chicken and vegan dishes.

 

STK, The Gantry London

Steakhouse brand STK is launching its third restaurant in the capital this month, at The Gantry London in Stratford, part of the Curio Collection by Hilton.

The menu features a range of premium dry-aged steaks, as well as seafood, shellfish, and signature cocktails.

 

Mr Nice, Mayfair

French restaurant Mr Nice will open on Mayfair’s Davies Street in early 2023. The two-storey restaurant will offer dishes such as foie gras terrine and cote de boeuf and will also run a wine club for members.

 

Ikoyi, Strand

Ikoyi will launch at 180 The Strand later this month, serving high quality British produce with spices sourced from over the world with a focus on sub-Saharan West Africa.

 

Florratica, Aldgate

A rooftop bar with views of St Paul’s, Canary Wharf, and the Thames will open in Aldgate this month. Florratica will be an 11th floor venue with a large outdoor terrace. It will serve cocktails and small plates.

The 3 Locks Brewing Company is a recently opened 5,300 sq ft taproom and plans to launch a microbrewery in the coming weeks, selling a collection of beers brewed on site. The taproom includes outdoor seating adjacent to the canal.

 

The Beckford Canteen, Bath

The Beckford Group, which operates upscale pubs in Wiltshire and Somerset, is to launch its second restaurant this month in Bath’s city centre. The Beckford Canteen occupies a former Georgian greenhouse on Bartlett Street and will have 40 covers, plus a further 40 in a ‘hidden garden’ area, and offer a modern, seasonal British menu.

 

Climat, Manchester

Climat is a wine-focused rooftop restaurant opening in Manchester this month, with a menu of wine-friendly dishes and a cellar of 250 wines.

 

Stoke, Liverpool

Robata grill restaurant Stoke will launch at the Radisson RED Liverpool when the hotel opens later this month. Stoke will be a modern barbecue restaurant specialising in seasonal dishes and small plates, as well as vegetarian options.
