F1 Arcade, the Formula 1-licensed premium experiential venue, will open its second UK venue in Birmingham. The concept – created by Adam Breeden, also behind Flight Club, Hijingo, All Star Lanes, and Puttshack – recently announced its first venue will open in London later this month.

The 11,000 sq ft site at Paradise Birmingham will offer an F1 racing simulation experience aimed at a wide-ranging demographic, including corporate and social occasions as well as families. It wil feature bespoke racing simulators designed for the venue, as well as motion and audiovisual effects for an immersive experience.

The Tynemouth Castle Inn, North Tyneside

The 33-strong Inn Collection Group will rebrand The Park Hotel to The Tynemouth Castle Inn for its first site in North Tyneside. The venue will open in 2023 following a multimillion pound refurbishment.

Acquired by the group in April 2021, the art-deco building will undergo remodelling of the current bar and dining areas along with the site’s existing rooms. The site will also offer a fish and chip takeaway, an ice cream parlour, new external seating areas and terraces, and 180-degree sea views.

Shiro, Liverpool Street

Japanese restaurant and bar Shiro is opening at Liverpool Street’s Broadgate Circle in late November. The menu, inspired by Tokyo’s foodie hotspots, will offer ramen, crystal sushi, sake cocktails, Japanese beers, and lunchtime sets as a take on bento boxes.

Street food market operator Kerb has announced its covered festive market, Season’s Eatings, will pop up on London’s South Bank from 24 November to 8 January. The market will offer festive dishes, mulled wine, and hot cocktails from Kerb traders, including Chai Guys, Cheesehaus, Sen Noods, Utter Waffle, Bad Boy Pizza Society, Mumbai Mix, and Lucky’s Hot Chicken.

Musical theatre-inspired dining concept The Theatre Café Diner has opened in Seven Dials. The 2,455 sq ft space on Shaftesbury Avenue spans two floors and offers experiential dining, designed to complement the West End’s theatrical roots. It includes table service from a professional singing waiting team and dedicated areas themed to West End productions. The offer will feature American-style diner food.
