McDonald’s has promoted marketer Nathalie Pomroy to the newly created role of retail marketing director to oversee its focus on enhancing customers’ in-store experience, reports Marketing Week.

The report says that Pomroy’s promotion comes as McDonald’s is looking to improve the in-store experiences across the UK in 2014.

Pomroy will continue to lead the fast food chain’s marketing function alongside additional responsibilities for field marketing and merchandising.

The magazine said that the new role aims to localise the company’s global efforts to increase investments in its restaurants, people and menu this year as it looks to generate more in-store traffic at peak times.
